I want to start off by saying THANK YOU to all of the parents who donated packages of Oreos for our Oreo project! In math class today, students were each given a package of Oreos. Their goal? Stack (one of our weekly vocab words) the oreos as HIGH as they could before the pile toppled over, then record the results on a chart. Each student was given 3 chances. Once they finished, they found the average of their 3 attempts (another vocab word!). Once they had that number, we then took everyone's average and found the class average. The project was a success, and a whole lot of fun, too!
